The Kentucky Headhunters

Saturday - Sept 17th

Known as "Southern Rock Royalty" and "great American rock 'n' roll band," The Kentucky Headhunters have maintained a longevity most acts can only dream of.

With a GRAMMY Award, CMA Album of the Year Award, two CMA Vocal Group of the Year Award, two Top 10 charting alubms and four consecutive Top 40 hits, their international success spans multiple genres.

The Kentucky Headhunters are credited for creating a unique blend of honky-tonk, blues, and southern rock that appeals to the toughest music critics and listeners of all kinds.

Getting their start in 1968 brothers Fred and Richard Young and cousins Greg Martin and Anthony Kenny, from Edmonton, Kentucky, formed Itchy Brother, which later morphed into The Kentucky Headhunters, after Kenny departed and Doug Phelps joined the band.  Their first album, Pickin' On Nashville, (1989), surprised the world when it became a major success, selling over two million coppies.

With Special Guests:

The Comancheros

A southern rock band from the Show Me State, channeling Merle Haggard, Motorhead, Judas Priest, and Johnny Cash.

The Comancheros are known for bringing to the stage some of the highest energy performances in the business. They bottled up that fury to produce their first full length release, “Heavy & Western,” followed by “Too Old to Die Young Now.” Now Richard Young, of the infamous Kentucky Headhunters, produced “Memphis to Mexico” which released. 11/12/2021.

Sean Hopkins & Jim Rotramel from the Franklin County Trucking Company

acoustic duo

The Franklin County Trucking Company pays homage to the truck driving songs of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, while mixing in a dose of greasy rock'n'roll.

"So what you have here are four front men from four different bands and one punked-out rockabilly drummer who lives up to the “greasy” billing. All of whom, one day on a creative lark, formed trucking music’s first bona-fide super band." - Paul Marhoefer, Overdrive Magazine (Best album, 2019)
